Bespoke Research £30 per hour
A bespoke research commission is costed by the hour and is suitable for more specific or detailed research requests such as in-depth research on a particular individual, or I can write your family history as a narrative account, to complement the standard genealogy reports already included in the fixed price research.
I will discuss your requirements with you and they would be agreed in advance of the commission. The total time to be spent on research can either be a fixed number of hours or flexible, to suit your budget. According to your requirements the finished result might be a written report, including images and maps, with background social history and context. A much wider range of sources than those included in the fixed price research can be consulted. I can also personalise the result with your own family photographs or images of items of personal or family significance.
For clients who live outside the UK, the hourly rate is approximated to $45 or €40 per hour. The Bank of England’s Sterling exchange rate will be used to calculate the final cost per hour at the time the research contract is agreed.
